7 simple steps how to apply your DJ skin:

1. Turn off device

and possibly allow to cool.
The colder the skin and your device, the less adhesive it has.
The warmer the skin, the stronger the adhesive power.
So make sure you apply it in a cool environment – that’s what makes it so easier for you!

2. Clean device

Before applying your DJ Skin, we recommend cleaning your device with a static cloth.

3. Remove Knobs & Faders

Remove faders and knobs.
If these cannot be easily detached, use a cake fork, for example, to pry them out. You should protect the surface of your device with a cloth.
Important! Pioneer Dj has installed a so-called P-Lock system in the line and cross faders – you can find an explanation in our tutorial.

4. Detach the DJ skin from the carrier film

First carefully detach your skin from the carrier foil.
Please pay attention to thin webs, and be careful not to damage them
Take your time when detaching.

5. Position the DJ skin on your device

Use cutouts, buttons, etc. as a guide and place your skin in the right place. As long as you don’t press it down, you can always reposition it.
(Exception: on Plexiglas, due to the smooth surface, the skin pulls on a little faster)

6. Fix your skin

Now press your skin on your device. First tap the skin, then swipe from the inside out.

7. Attach Knobs & Faders

Once you’ve applied all the skins, you can remount the faders and knobs.
